The luxury travel industry is highly competitive, particularly during peak seasons. Customers have a variety of platforms to choose from, so it is important to showcase what makes an offering unique and consistently remind customers that it is a top choice.
RTB House was already a close partner of Secret Escapes, with a history of delivering strong results. However, the team wanted to find new ways to add value to the partnership, so it worked to rapidly scale the campaign and unlock the true potential of its retargeting offering for Secret Escapes.

When Secret Escapes began to implement robust econometrics to predict the impact of prevailing economics on their business, the RTB House team saw an opportunity to work more closely together.
We worked with the client to understand the impact of their econometrics model and how to apply this information to retargeting for both web and in-app campaigns.
This cooperation enabled us to quickly and easily adjust our campaign based on the client’s evolving needs. For example, we aligned our retargeting campaigns with their seasonality in terms of pacing, and also in collaboration with offer periods by running promos with their key sales dates.

The result
The combined efforts of RTB House and Secret Escapes paid off with positive results. The campaigns were delivered at the largest scale yet, with significant improvements across all metrics, including conversions, clicks, impressions, and even higher click-through rates.
We outperformed return on ad spend (ROAS) targets by 35% and exceeded revenue targets by 40%.
Additionally, by using data from Secret Escapes’ econometrics modeling, we were able to showcase that retargeting was an underutilized channel which contributed far more revenue than previously realized.
This led to further investment in programmatic advertising channels, improving all key metrics. These results saw our partnership expand, and RTB House now runs web and in-app campaigns in Germany, the U.K., and Italy for Secret Escapes.
